Ashtanga and Yin, an enjoyable afternoon of Yoga
What you can expect;
You will be guided through an adaptation of the original Primary Series (with a few second series poses too) and given adjustments and modifications, as and when necessary, making the sequence accessible, calming and restorative.
As you synchronise your breath with this flowing sequence and become familiar with the Ashtanga series, your mind will move into a meditative and calm state while your body becomes stronger and more mobile.
Following a short break we’re going to enjoy a calming hour of Yin Yoga. You will be asked to hold poses for roughly 3-5mins so bring extra layers to ensure you stay nice, cozy and warm. Yin Yoga is a beautiful opportunity to become more still allowing opening to unwind, unraveling ourselves and our thoughts with a gentle arousal of tenderness. Tentatively going deeper the more we relax. Restoring muscles function, elasticity and calm to gently conclude the annual festive session.
To note: Everyone is encouraged to bring a light snack to enjoy during a short break between sessions.
